"When I moved to Vancouver Island I was so busy with a long commute and a demanding job that I searched for someone to give my dogs a really good outing three days a week. At the time, Cheryl of Outbound Hounds was just starting up in Duncan, and so began a three year (so far) relationship with my two big SPCA mutts.  Cheryl is as watchful over my dogs as I am.  She notices little changes like a cut or the sniffles and points them out to me. She requires full immunization and a clean bill of health for everyone because she cares deeply about the well being of every dog that travels with her. The true test of this service is the joyful greeting she gets when she pulls up to take my guys for their walk. These are older dogs but they jump and bark with sheer puppy exuberance when they are heading out. Often they are gone for a couple of hours or more, and they always return home happy and hungry. "Joey" is my best friend, and to leave him home while I am at work is heartbreaking. BUT, he has gotten used to the routine. I put his leash out side, and say "Cheryls coming today" and his eyes light up.!! 
I am so grateful to have had Cheryl stay at our house while we were on holidays, with my cat "Aussie" and "Joey". There is nothing like being away, knowing that your home is in safe hands, as well as your loved ones. On our return , I watched Joey looking out the window as she drove away, turned to me and as if to say "where is she going?"

'Nikko' our four legged son, gets so excited when he sees Cheryl coming towards the door.
